Welcome to the RELIANT4AD project!

A European project developing reliable and high precision positioning for automated driving, leveraging Galileo differentiators to answer ADS Level 4 localisation requirements.

Market approach

A product-oriented approach

Leveraging Valeo, FDC, and STMicro as major actors for access to market, bringing viability to the business plan and a short commercialisation roadmap. The outreach of the developed solution is boosted by a dissemination plan towards targeted stakeholders, building on the dynamic created in the CCAM ecosystem, the 5GAA association, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), and GNSS-related events and conferences.

A holistic analysis of Galileo and EGNSS differentiators

  • HAS SL1 as well as HAS SL2-ready solution.
  • OSNMA-based spoofing resilience algorithms, with related output status fed to a multi-layer consistency check decision tree.
  • Multi-frequency, multi-constellation positioning improving accuracy and availability.
  • Wide-band processing with AltBOC receivers.

An innovative and safe sensor fusion based integrity concept and design

  • Tightly coupled sensor fusion scheme for enhanced solution continuity and availability in harsh environments, including vision-based collaborative range measurements.
  • Multi-layer Fault Detection and Exclusion integrity concept implementing majority voting schemes and integrity monitoring, as well as multi-layer anti-spoofing resilience.
  • Proprioceptive and exteroceptive sensors including world-class ASIL B certified radar and lidar-based positioning solutions from the Valeo product suite.

The proposed solution shall ensure that the following frameworks are followed:

  • Road vehicles functional safety standard ISO 26262.
  • Road vehicles safety of the intended functionality standard ISO 21448.
  • Road vehicles cybersecurity engineering standard ISO 21434.
